In comparison, M3GAN reached around 330.3 million people in the first week of its debut on Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram.

Scream VI on the other hand, reached around 360.8 million people, which means it surpassed the reach of the M3GAN by 30 million people.

Scream VI also has about 2.4 times more reach than average horror projects.

It's virality is also substantially larger than Wednesday's viral dance.

And thanks to its massive social media reach, Scream VI's influence has helped it benefit from its box office acquisition. In fact, Scream VI‘s success in its social media reach, has helped it hit the hottest box office trend of the decade.

It gained a whopping $44.5 million in its opening weekend, against a $33 million budget.

That happened despite competition from Sunday night’s 95th Academy Awards telecast.

In all, Scream VI is the largest opening of all the Scream franchise, which was originally premiered back in 1996, with a cameos from popular teen star Drew Barrymore.

Traditionally, horror movies have a hard time achieving this height due to their rather segmented and unique audience.

But Scream VI managed to go even way beyond the original, while staying true to the legacy.

The slasher film is directed by Matt Betinelli-Oplin and Tyler Gillett, stars Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Courteney Cox, Hayden Panettiere and more.

The film picks up a year later, after Sam (Melissa Barrera) and Tara (Jenna Ortega) and the other survivors of the previous Ghostface attack, as well as some new faces, trying to return to a new life in New York City.

However, things don't look good when Ghostface reappears and begins picking them off one by one.

But what many praised about this film, is the way things get a bit more gory, and its Ghostface is also the franchise's scariest Ghostface yet.

The antagonist is also the most ruthless, and most brutal yet with the killings.

Using the iconic Buck 120 hunting knife, Ghostface, is sometimes known for bring a little bit of a klutz. But regardless, the character remains skilled in spying and stealth.

Furthermore, many praised Scream VI for being able to retain legacy characters, but by giving them lesser role than the new and younger characters, which are more centered than before.

This makes Scream VI a more well-rounded, paced story.

It's worth noting that Jenna Ortega also starred in Wednesday, in which she's the main character in the series.
