Lana Rhoades, And The Impossible Feat To Remove All Of Her Porn Videos From The Internet

25/04/2024

The internet may be flawed, but if there is one thing that it excels at, is remembering pretty much everything it is thrown at.

From the very first page on the internet, almost everything that has been uploaded or posted since then, is either stored in some servers out there, archived by some online companies, stored offline by someone or some company, or kept behind paywall.

Lan Rhoades is best known for being a porn star.

Despite having only a few years of 'work experience', she was one of the most-searched model on various adult websites, and remains one of the most popular ones, ever.

This time, Rhoades shed some light on the darker side of the industry.

She regrets her past, and wishes all her videos to be deleted.

Lana Rhoades, which is also an American internet personality and podcaster, has appeared in publications such as Hustler, Penthouse and Playboy.

Raised by a single mother in a suburb of Chicago, she entered the adult entertainment industry 2016, and abruptly left the industry in 2017.

The woman whose real name is Amara Maple, left the industry after only eight months, in pursuit of another career

Regardless, she is the recipient of various accolades and recognition, ranging from "Best New Starlet," to "Female Performer of the Year," "Most Popular Female Pornstar by Women," and more.

The high demand catapulted her fame faster than a rocket on fire.

She went from being a waitress, to club dancer, to porn star very quickly.

To her, at least at this time, that isn't something to be proud of.

While she was the star, and pretty much the set she was in revolved around her, the career was not something to be bragged to others.

In an interview with Curious Mike, Rhoades opened up about her the lack of support or guidance she felt she received in the adult film industry, particularly because joined at the age of 19.

"There's not really anything set up to protect girls that are young and vulnerable that don't know how to say no or don't have self-respect for themselves yet or care for themselves or love themselves because they've been through so much and are like taught not to," she told the host.

After leaving the industry, and instead use her fame to speak out.

"I honestly tell people, if I could go back, I would give up everything to have my dignity and respect back, and for people not to be able to see me in that way."

"If I could turn back time," she lamented, "I’d trade it all for my dignity and respect.:

The first time she wishes to remove her content from the web, was mentioned back in 2021, in an interview on Harry Jowsey's Tap In podcast in 2021.

At the time, Rhoades expressed her desire to erase all of her videos, highlighting the lasting impact of her time in the adult film industry.

To her, it was traumatizing, and that it's giving a long-term mental health issues. No surprise because when she was a porn star, she had to endure degrading things in sex.

"One of the worst... honestly, I feel like I'm in denial sometimes and I can't accept some of the things that I've done," she said.

"There was one thing that, ya know, I tried talking to a therapist about before something that I had to do for a scene that was really rough for me."

"Basically, this guy had a bowl and he, like, gagged me until I threw up into it and he, like, pissed in the bowl, and during the scene he asked me to drink it, and I didn't know how to say no."

"It was one of the most disgusting, foul scenes."

Rhoades has not filmed a sex scene since having a child in 2022.

Rhoades even mentioned that she's far from what her character was portraying.

While at work, as a porn star, she had to act as it she's always on a high sex drive, when in real life, she is just a normal person.

Rhoades admits that she's shy and conservative, and far from being a sex adventurer.

In her podcast, 3 Girls 1 Kitchen, she once admitted that she only slept with five men outside the adult industry.

Contrary to popular belief in Western society, this body count is relatively low.

This happened because while she was in the adult industry, she was unable to make a proper relationship with anyone outside the industry, and this put her sex life on a halt.

"When I shoot porn, I don't have sex with people off camera. My life is about work. I would wake up every day and go and shoot porn - I don't have a life," Lana said.

"I think I almost forgot how to have real sex. You have a lot of trouble with your sex organs and it always hurts. It sucks," Lana concluded.

She also slammed the adult film industry as "100 percent fake," and accused those within it as treating actors like "circus acts."

After a collection of horrifying experiences, Lana Rhoades decided to quit the porn industry for good.

Despite being insecure and struggling with mental issues, her work as a porn star was also not financially rewarding.

"The industry I did not get paid shit," she noted, explaining that her pay was around $1,000 per scene.

She said that many of the girls who entered the porn industry were either from small towns, or were poor. Rhoades was one of those peop0le.

"I thought $100 at the time was like so much money," she said. "So getting $1,200 was like a big deal (at that time)."

Leaving the industry was one of the best things that happened to her, and also rewarding.

Through her fame and influence, she is richer after she left.

"I probably had $100,000 in my bank account when I quit shooting porn and now I'm a multi-millionaire."

Most of her income after porn, came from modelling.

She can make more than $10,000 per photo or endorsement, she claims.

But to put her past properly behind her, she is on a quest to remove her videos, erasing every last trace of her past on screen, in order to wipe her slate clean.

This, is a herculean feat nobody in history has ever succeeded in doing.

As a model and also an influencer, she has a growing number of followers on social media, like on Instagram.

A good thing for Rhoades.

But unfortunately, people who now know that she left the industry, continues to look for her videos, and made to Rhoades to continue being on top on adult websites, like on Pornhub.

The more she tried to leave the adult industry, the harder it is for her to fully escape her previous job role.

Some of the people who landed on her Instagram account, went on to look for her on Pornhub, and stayed there, and don't financially benefit her at any way.

Even after removing her videos from Pornhub, her videos still exist in pretty much other platforms

"So PornHub, a lot of the videos I have no rights under over or otherwise I probably would have deleted them all by now."

As one of the most-famous porn stars, the high demand Rhoades has appeared in a large number of adult films.

While there is not a single, definitive answer to the number of films due to the nature of the industry and the difficulty of verifying details, she has at least stared in 80 entries.

Besides Rhoades, another notable former porn star who strongly advocated against pornography, is Mia Khalifa.

The Lebanese-American woman only performed for three months in the adult entertainment industry, but her name continued to appear on top of most other adult performers, even years after she left.
