With 'Firefly 3', Adobe Photoshop Makes Generative AI 'A New Superpowers To All'

The AI field was quite dull, and boring, and kind of slow-paced. But things have changed dramatically.

Since OpenAI introduced ChatGPT as a AI chatbot tool. The AI is able to do a wide range of tasks, including writing poetry, technical papers, novels, and essays.

After it managed to captivate the internet, the rest is history.

OpenAI has made other tech companies to create their own versions of generative AI.

Adobe has what it calls the Firefly AI, and that has features, like Generative Fill and Generative Expand.

As an AI to enhance its own array of design tools, this time, Adobe has released Firefly 3.

And its goal is to improve the life of pixel pushers everywhere, from amateurs to professionals.

When Firefly us used as an AI art generator, it can make ideas come to reality.

Because the tool works as a generative AI tool, and that it's essentially a text-to-image generator, non-designers can use it to stretch their creativity with prompts that will give them results in seconds. Professionals on the other hand, can explore new ideas and follow their inspiration wherever it leads .

But what Firefly 3 excels if compared to its predecessor, is that it gives users more option for custom results.

For example, not only that it allows users to generate images according to their specific needs, because it also allows users to select a reference image from the gallery or upload their own image to generate new ones that match its structure or style.

Users can also change the results' aspect ratio, style, color, and lighting.

Firefly 3 took what Firefly 2 had, and overcome some its deficiencies, focusing on higher-image quality and more sophisticated user input understanding.

“We’ve significantly improved how the model handles fine details and textures, which are crucial for photorealistic outputs,” said Alexandru Costin, vice president of generative AI at Adobe.

So to showcase this Firefly 3, Adobe releases it to Photoshop.

In a blog post, the company said that:

Firefly 3 here improves what users can create, and that the AI is giving them "more power, precision, and control to produce custom content."

According to Adobe, this simply gives everyone that superpower, regardless of their profession, skill level, or project requirement, shortening the distance between a blank page to final production.

Examples of what Photoshop with Firefly 3 can do:

• A graphic artist can ideate entirely new worlds across visual concepts, develop inspirational and unique composites, and deliver design portfolios for clients.
• A fashion photographer can ideate and incorporate inspirational styles into their vision, remove distracting elements, change photoshoot backgrounds to new locations, and resize images for different publications and compositions.
• Small business owners or entrepreneurs who wear many different hats can efficiently create their own brand advertising assets and generate custom details for product images to scale their marketing campaigns.
• An interior designer, or regular person looking to redesign their home, can mockup mood boards and concepts for their space, stage rooms with images of stylized décor, and insert distinctive furniture into specific layouts or floor plans.

Users can also:
