new options to better manage your data related to its own platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.

The company has a single place in the Accounts Center, where users can request a download of their information, like on Facebook and Instagram, all at the same time.

Users can also choose to download a copy of their information from one of the social networks, whenever they want to.

In an announcement, the company said that:

Building on our efforts to simplify settings earlier this year, we’re moving a number of additional controls into Accounts Center to make it easier to manage your information across our apps.

Download Your Information and Access Your Information are now centralized in Accounts Center, and you can now download information from both your Facebook and Instagram accounts at the same time.

In an example, Meta said that users who might want to download photos that they've uploaded to both platforms, they can do so if they wish, "with a single action."

"Or you can still choose to download your information for Facebook and Instagram separately," said Meta.

Through what it calls the 'Activity Off-Meta Technologies,' which is formerly known as Off-Facebook Activity, and Transfer Your Information work on both Instagram and live in Accounts Center.

In the past, the company already offered users control over off-site activities on Facebook.

What this means, users could change the way other apps sent data back to Facebook about them.

This time, the social network is combining its off-Meta information for both Facebook and Instagram. This hub allows users to disconnect their account from services where they have used Facebook or Instagram login as well. Users can also see what sites are collecting their information.

Additionally, Meta is also expanding the ‘Transfer Your Information’ option to Instagram.

What this means, users can easily export their Instagram photos and videos and import them into another service.

Meta said that users will be able to find all these options in the Accounts Center.
