4chan Campaign That Wanted LGBTQ+ Community To Include Pedophiles

23/06/2016

One of the earliest malicious campaign in getting pedophiles into LGBTQ+ community started on 4Chan in 2016.

At that time users attempted to create a false movement by including the letter "P," for pedosexuals, into the LGBTQ+ acronym. This was to trick LGBT activists into supporting pedophiles. These campaigns were usually aimed at tricking people into seeing "reality."

As a result, some that were tricked, started rebranding themselves as "MAPs" (Minor Attracted Persons) in an effort to gain acceptance and be included into the community, according to several reports from LGBT news sites.

These people try to convince others, claiming that pedophiles are somehow misunderstood, and that their attraction to children is not acted upon.

Many websites and blogs exist on Tumblr showing support for MAPs, claiming that they should be a part of the LGBT community.

They have attempted to create a safe place for these "minor attracted persons". Some of those sites and blogs present sad stories about "marginalized" pedophiles, saying that they mean no harm and just want to be loved like everyone else.

This name change follows some liberal trends that rebrand things by giving them more "politically correct" names. And many of them use the above poster to promote it.

As for the LGBTQ+ community, they have long been maliciously associated with pedophiles and sexual predators by people who wish to further stigmatize them.

However, the community in general, stated that there is no widespread debate within the LGBTQ+ community over whether or not they should accept pedophiles into their ranks. They say that the cause was heterosexual people in associating the LGBTQ+ community with sexual predators, in order to get the community to be accused for welcoming sexual predators.

Internet trolls are doing this by using preexisting stigma against LGBTQ+ people. They are taking advantages by spreading propaganda that, on first glance, resembles an embrace of pedophiles by LGBTQ+ people.

While there is no clear evidence, "Perhaps there is some genuine pedophile somewhere pushing this new rainbow flag. Maybe a few others are trying to infiltrate LGBT+ groups by the backdoor," said a cofounder of Virtuous Pedophiles, an internet-based mutual support group for pedophiles.
