Donald Trump's Twitter Account Is Reinstated By Elon Musk

20/11/2022

Twitter has long been Donald Trump’s primary communication tool to push policies, share news, fire aids and officials, spread his own opinions, savage rivals and opponents, and praise allies and whoever he likes.

By banning @realDonaldTrump, Twitter ensured that he is silenced.

The microblogging platform Twitter banned Trump, because of inciting violence at the U.S. Capitol. And by doing so, the platform subsequently took his long used method of communication with his fans and his followers.

But after Elon Musk took over the platform, things are changing.

After bringing the kitchen sink to Twitter's headquarters and becoming its "Chief Twit", the tech billionaire is tweaking some of the things, including its policies.

And among them, include the reinstatement of Donald Trump.

Musk reinstated Trump' Twitter account after creating a poll to ask fellow Twitter users about their opinions.

The final result is that, 51.8% of respondents wanted Trump back, whereas 48.2% of them said no.

134 million people had seen the poll, said Musk

Winning by a relatively small margin, "the people have spoken," said Musk in a subsequent tweet.

"Vox Populi, Vox Dei," Musk added, which is a Latin phrase that translates to "the voice of the people is the voice of God."

With most respondents wanted the former U.S. President back to Twitter, "Trump will be reinstated," Musk said.

Following the poll and Musk's tweet, Trump's Twitter handle @realdonaldTrump is made available and once again accessible.

All of Trump's tweet can be seen, and everything seems to return as it was before the ban.

While Donald Trump is still active in delivering his speeches and opinions to his fans, neither Trump or his spokesperson have responded to the account's reinstatement.

After all, Trump seems to have moved on, and that he has other projects going on.

Donald Trump (left), is the 45th President of the U.S., and Twitter was his megaphone, before he was banned. And Elon Musk (right) has been receiving a number of criticisms after his acquisition of Twitter.

"I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH," Trump said back in April.

"I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH."

Ever since Musk acquired Twitter, the eccentric entrepreneur has faced near-constant criticisms.

From his decision to fire most of its senior leadership and employees, overhauled the platform’s subscription and verification system and announced a number of changes to its moderation, not many people are happy.

But judging by the rate Twitter is adding and dropping features, it's certain that Twitter is still evolving with its new ruler, and that Musk is still testing the waters as Twitter's new ruler.
