The 'COVID-19' coronavirus pandemic may have put the world into a prolonged sorrow. But that doesn't mean that there shouldn't be any fun.

That is at least what Telegram is trying to show, as it welcomes the Halloween moment on October 31, 2020. The messaging app said that it is "introducing new features to help organize your trick-or-treating."

"Practice your voodoo skills with multiple pinned messages in every chat, watch out for other zombies on the block with Live Locations 2.0, put suspenseful music into Playlists, and more," said Telegram in a blog post.

First up, is the pinned messages feature.

With the update, earlier pinned messages are shown as multiple pinned messages where a simple tap at the top bar allows users to easily jump between the messages. There is also a button for retrieving them and viewing on a separate page.

"In addition to channels and groups, pinned messages now work in one-on-one chats, useful for everything from shopping lists to friendly wagers and beyond," said Telegram.

Next, is the improved live locations feature.

Here, Telegram introduces a notify button that can alert users, notifying them when friends are nearby and when their location has been already shared with the user. The map also features icons, with the directions users are facing.

Then there is the playlist feature, where users can organize their sings in an easier manner. With the update, songs on users' phone are arranged together in a playlist.

Through the feature, songs can be played, forwarded, or commented on. Opening one of the songs will queue them all up in Telegram's built-in media player.

And if users send multiple music files together, Telegram will display them in one chat bubble.

"Just like with photo albums, you can always select each file or track individually," said Telegram.

After that, there is the channel post stats. With the tool that is dedicated to channels, admins can track subscriber activity, view stats for individual posts, including a list of post channels.
