The AI field is developing fast, and it's becoming more lucrative than ever.

Ever since OpenAI created the generative AI hype with ChatGPT, others swiftly followed. Tech giant Google was initially shy in embracing the technology due to a mishap.

But when it finally got it right, the company quickly rolled out generative AI-powered features to more of its products.

One after another, Bard is popping up in its various apps.

Even Google Search, the company's core product, gets an experimental Search Generative Experience.

This time, Google is putting its generative AI to another of its core product, YouTube.

Initially, the AI is coming to the streaming platform to a limited group of people.

After announcing AI-powered tools, like Dream Screen, in an announcement, Google makes another move, in which it's testing two more AIs on YouTube.

In another announcement, Google said that it's "testing two experiments that integrate generative AI into the YouTube viewing experience."

First up, is the AI to summarize comments.

According to YouTube, this AI can help users "easily understand and participate in comment conversations."

YouTube is also experimenting with an AI that "organizes large comment sections of long-form videos into easily digestible themes."

Users who have early access to this feature, can tap on the Topics section on some videos. They can then use these comment summaries to more quickly jump into comment discussions on their videos, or to draw inspiration for new content based on what their audiences are discussing.

If creators want to remove any comment topics, they also do so by deleting individual comments that show up under the specific topic.

It's worth noting that Topics only surfaces published comments, and cannot be created from comments that are held for review, contain blocked words or are from blocked users.

Next up, is a conversational AI tool.

According to YouTube, this AI allows users to "get answers to questions about the video you’re watching, recommendations for related content, and more, all without interrupting playback."

According to YouTube, when someone is watching an educational video, the AI-powered conversational tool is able to give them quizzes and responses that encourage viewers to learn more.

"These features are experimental and we may not always get it right," said YouTube. "That’s why we’re starting small with limited availability and collecting feedback [...] "
