Android Donut was released based on Linux kernel 2.6.29 and API level 4.
The new features introduced was voice and text entry search enhanced to include bookmark history, contacts, and the web, the ability for developers to include their content in search results, multilingual speech synthesis engine, more integrated gallery, camera and camcorder, multiple select, support for WVGA screens, improvement in search, expanded Gesture framework, etc..
