Internet Explorer

16/08/1995

Microsoft Internet Explorer (Internet Explorer) or abbreviated IE, is Microsoft's web browser that is included as a part of the Microsoft Windows product line up. It was first released as part of the add-on package inside Plus! for Windows 95.

The project started in 1994 by Thomas Reardon, who used the source code from Spyglass, Inc. Mosaic. The team that began with about six people in early development, created Internet Explorer by reworking Spyglass Mosaic, which Microsoft licensed from Spyglass Inc.

Internet Explorer is one of the most widely used web browsers.
