TikTok Star Goes Hiatus Because Her Nude Photos Are 'Posted Everywhere On The Internet'

The internet is a place for many things, from the good and the bad, and pretty much everything in between.

Where as social media users can earn fame and fortune by becoming influencers, they're also risking their personal lives because pretty much everything that is uploaded to the internet, stays on the internet.

This can affect them in a bad way because online influencers spend many of their social interactions through the internet.

Megan Eugenio, aka Overtime Megan (@overtimemegan), is an American TikTok star, content creator, and social media influencer.

Born in 1999 in Massachusetts, she gained fame due to her love for basketball, and is also well-recognized for sharing lip-syncs and dance videos on TikTok, where she boasts more than 2 million followers.

She joined TikTok in 2019 and became famous the first month she joined the platform.

But suddenly, she went silent.

The content creator who has uploaded a long list of videos that have garnered hundreds of thousands of views each, mysteriously disappeared.

It's then realized that she is a victim of a hacker, who leaked multiple pictures and videos from her personal account.

At the end of April, several of her nude photos and videos were leaked on the internet, heavily shared on Twitter and Reddit, as well as some pornographic websites.

The photos and videos in question, include mirror selfies of herself, which depict full frontal nudity.

There are also photos and videos of her and her boyfriend, as well as some that include the couple engaging in sexual activities, including sexual intercourse.

It's said that the hacker leaked multiple picture folders and videos from her personal phone, which causes her to go hiatus.

She removed her TikTok account, and even makes her Twitter account private.

A while later, Overtime Megan finally addressed the hack in a TikTok video.

In the video, she explained that the personal content stolen from her phone was "sold, reproduced, and posted everywhere on the internet."

This "was a crime," she said, saying that anyone sharing the content online is also "participating in a crime."

Megan has a point.

This is because everyone can take whatever photos of themselves that they like. When someone takes nude photos and videos of themselves, it's their own right and that there's nothing wrong with that.

But when it's shared by someone else without the person’s permission, then it becomes an issue.

Sharing or publicizing private images or videos without consent goes against civil and criminal law, because the act is categorized as "nonconsensual pornography."

Ever since the very first viral celebrity sex tape, the internet has seen tons of others that followed.

One after another, more and more sex tapes were leaked, intentionally or not.

"I'm a victim. It’s not my fault. It doesn’t define my self-worth. And I know, as a woman, that that was not meant for the public eye. That was meant for me."

"I’m not gonna lie, it’s been very hard. It’s been super hard to look at my private images all over the internet, and everything just being poked fun at."

"But people are not realizing that this is a real person you are messing with. I have friends, I have a family. I have a job... I’m not just a character on the internet."

But she stands up strong, suggesting that the hacking isn't going to bring her down.

Megan said that she is going to keep on making content, and do what she loves.

"One thing I know for sure is, you can take whatever from my phone, you can take all those images, whatever you want. You definitely cannot take my will to keep doing what I love... you can’t take my happiness. You can’t break my spirit."
