Forethought for Microsoft

Forethought was Microsoft's first acquisition. Forethought that was founded by Rob Campbell and Taylor Pohlmanin in 1983, developed a presentation program that would later be known as Microsoft PowerPoint.

PowerPoint 1.0 was released in 1987 for the Apple Macintosh. After being acquired by Microsoft for $14 million, PowerPoint was released for Windows, and became a standard part of the Microsoft Office suite.
