Internet.org continues to provide free data access to resources and information. The service that was first launched in Zambia, then came to Tanzania, before arriving in Kenya.
The move was first announced by Facebook at the AfriCom event in South Africa, and is being launched in partnership with operator Airtel.
Internet.org is a coalition launched by Facebook as a way to connect the estimated two-thirds of the world's population who don't have internet access. Through Internet.org, Facebook is working with a telecommunication and technology companies to enable people to gain access to certain services from their mobile devices without cost.
