Facebook is testing a way for advertisers to make the direct sales pitch to potential customers. Using the the Buy button, which allows users to complete a transaction while staying in Facebook, without ever leaving the platform.
With the feature, Facebook is aiming to get users' interest to better target advertising. Even when someone isn't done in the transaction process after clicking the Buy button, advertisers can know that the user is interested in making a purchase of a particular product. This in turn can make them target ads for that specific item.
To make the feature work properly as intended, Facebook is partnering with some other in the business.
