Facebook, the social giant, is introducing a new messenger app for iOS and Android. The standalone app that appears totally different with new font, buttons and color, can somehow be mistaken for yet another app for sending photos and stickers.
The new Messenger app is basically an instant chat feature that has the same function as Facebook's core chat and messaging feature. But the brand new design meant to differentiate it from its main Facebook app. The most notable new design can be seen from its circular avatars that can have little badges on them. This is part of what makes the app more like WhatsApp.
