TWICE is is a South Korean girl band formed by JYP Entertainment.
With Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu as members, the group debuted on October 2015.
The brand first got traction in 2016, through the single Cheer Up, which was sitting at the number one spot on the Gaon Digital Chart, and then became the best-performing single of the year, to then won the "Song of the Year" at the Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards.
With the spotlight on the group, the band's next singles were topping the charts for weeks.
The next year, TWICE debuted in Japan, and in 2019, the band became the first ever Korean girl group to have a Japanese dome tour.
As of December 2020, the group has sold over 10 million albums in South Korea and Japan.

Having met international success, TWICE is also the first female Korean band to simultaneously top both the Billboard World Albums and World Digital Song Sales chart, the third female Korean band to chart into the Canadian Hot 100, and has been into the Billboard 200 with More & More and Eyes Wide Open in 2020.
Previously, TWICE's songs, Like OOH-AHH, Cheer Up, TT, Knock Knock, Signal, Likey, Heart Shaker, What Is Love?, Dance the Night Away, YES or YES, FANCY, Feel Special, MORE & MORE, I Can't Stop Me, Candy Pop, and the Japanese version of TT were the band's first 16 songs to reach 100 million views on YouTube.
This makes TWICE on par with Little Mix, the British girl group that has 16 music videos with 100 million views.
But on May 15th, TWICE's Japanese track Breakthrough was able to garner over 100 million views. First released on the 12th of June, 2019, the hit took one year and 11 months to reach this milestone.
The music video is TWICE's third Japanese track music video to go beyond 100 million hits on YouTube, after Candy Pop and TT.
In total, TWICE has 17 music videos with over 100 million views on YouTube.
And this achievement is the most among not just K-pop girl groups but all-girl groups globally.
