Pornhub founded


Pornhub was created. The video-sharing website was launched in Montreal to provide a place for professional and amateur photography. Since then it grew to be one of the largest pornography site on the web.

The site was founded by web developer Matt Keezer. He first created it within the company called Interhub using PHP, MySQL, Sphinx, Redis.

In 2010, the company was acquired by Fabian Thylmann (Manwin) and later known as MindGeek.

Pornhub is part of the Pornhub NETWORK which consists of other porn sites: YouPorn, RedTube and others. While Pornhub already holds the title as one of the most popular pornographic website, it's also the single largest adult website on the internet, hosting more than any others, including its sister sites in the Pornhub NETWORK.

Besides showing updated contents of adult materials, users are allowed to search and take advantages of features, including social media sharing, liking or disliking contents.

Visitors may also register to Pornhub which will allow them to comment, download and add videos to their favorites.

Since 2012, Pornhub has been one of the largest porn website on the web. It has hosted several events to raise awareness of certain issues and/or raise money, as well as to help promote their brand. Among other adult-related websites, Pornhub is one of the most vocal and also charitable with its frequent campaigns.
