It was kind of quiet and peaceful, until a war rages on.
Since OpenAI introduced ChatGPT and sparked huge astonishment and demand, others who realize how lucrative this field has become, started creating their own products to match, or surpass ChatGPT. And here, Anthropic is one of the elites.
The company has launched Claude 3.5 Sonnet, which it dubbed as its “most intelligent model yet.”
Following Anthropic's update to the Claude 3.5 Sonnet AI model, allowing it to control the user’s screen, keyboard, and cursor, the company has now introduced another major enhancement:
Claude now has its own desktop app.
The desktop version of Claude offers much the same experience as the web version, allowing users to easily ask questions, revisit previous conversations, and access starred chats.
However, the desktop app adds a new level of convenience.
And that convenience is the ability for users to jump straight into a chat with Claude directly from their desktop, which is certainly quicker than opening a web browser and navigating to the website.
With the app, Claude is only one click away, making interactions smoother and more immediate.
Additionally, Anthropic is also rolling out support for dictation on Claude’s Android and iOS apps, allowing users to ask a question using their voice.

Claude is not the only fish in the sea.
And in the realms of generative AI competition, business is business, and the winner is the one that can surpass other in either speed or ability.
At this time, AI chatbots, like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, already have desktop apps.
Microsoft Copilot on the other hand, is built-in on Windows 11.
