Australian Fashion Week is an annual fashion industry event, or fashion week, showcasing seasonal collections from Australian designers.
Since 2005, the event is ran by American company, and has since been held at the multi-arts center Carriageworks in Redfern, Sydney.
Just like other fashion weeks around the world, the Australian Fashion Week not only showcases clothing trends, because it also put hair and make up trends as a big part of the event.
And in this particular event, that Indonesian model, Mariana Renata, appeared on the catwalk with a sexy look.
Wearing a Karen Neilsen Collection's blue and yellow bikini, the model also wore a blue necklace and a blue cloth to cover her head.
The thing is, among the many models that walked the catwalk, Mariana caught quite a lot of attention, particularly after photos of the Australian Fashion Week were published to the internet.
This happened because there was wardrobe malfunction in her private area.
Photos of Mariana showed that protruding from her bikini, coarse hair is clearly seen. This suggests that she didn't bother to wax prior to wearing the two-piece bikini.
In fact, the former partner of Indonesian celebrity Nicholas Saputra didn't seem to shave or even trim at all.
While it's unusual for this to happen in an international fashion show, many people actually defended the full bush style.
"Wow, she's not a mannequin... a real woman!" commented a person.
"She's a human gawddemmit! And humans are hairy. *pukpukmarianarenata," wrote a user on Twitter.
"Mariana Renata doesn't even do Brazilian wax. #nobodyPerfect."
"Mariana Renata's pubic hair was visible while she was showcasing a bikini at the Australian Fashion Week. In my opinion, this is very natural and cool," said another user.
It's worth noting that the incident happened way back during the time when Mariana was only starting to become a model on international fashion shows.
Mariana Renata is a 1983-born French-Indonesian model and actress.
Born in Paris to a French father and an Indonesian mother, she started her modeling career at the age of 13 in Jakarta, Indonesia. As the only child in the family, she later focused on her studies, and obtained an undergraduate degree in English Culture and Literature from the Paris-Sorbonne University and her Master of Commerce at the University of New South Wales in International Business.
Besides walking on Sydney, Mariana has also walked on the Paris, Milan and New York fashion runways, and has also become a model for numerous global brands.
It's worth noting that the virality of Mariana's au naturel pubic hair happened way before sharing photos on Instagram were a thing.
