In the modern days of digital age, online privacy and security are more important than ever.
With increasing concerns about data breaches, surveillance, and intrusive advertising, a VPN, which is essentially a service that creates a secure and encrypted connection between users device and the internet, is able to reroute users' internet traffic to a remote server first, where the tool hides users' real IP address and encrypts the data.
Only after that, that the tool will let the traffic pass from the remote server.
What this means, using a VPN can make it much harder for hackers, ISPs, and other entities to track users' online activities.
One of the key players in the field, is Brave.
And this time, it has given it an update.
Brave VPN adds a layer of privacy and security to any app on your device.

According to Brave:
Like many other providers, Brave provides users enhanced privacy and improved security, as well as the ability to bypass geo-restrictions.
"VPNs can help protect you from potential cyber threats like hacking and phishing attacks by securing your connection," said Brave.
And here, Brave has added the ability for users to choose servers, down to a city-level.
What that means, users using Brave VPN from an IP from a specific city, will make them appear as if they're browsing from that city.
This opens possibilities, like accessing content, like local news, events, or streaming content that might be restricted to only people's actual location. Users can also receive city-level search engine results, and city-level social media feed. And more, because some online services may also restrict access based on people's geographical location.
Not to mention that using a VPN with a city-level server can help users connect to local gaming servers, which often results in lower latency and faster connection speeds, enhancing your overall gaming experience.
The newest update adds hundreds of new servers across over 40 countries and regions for our VPN.

And in a post on X:
"An upgraded interface lets users on the latest version of Brave choose servers down to the city level."
An increasing number of people are turning to VPNs to enhance their online experience.
While some people use VPN to make it as if they're in other country, which would then allow them to browser websites and access apps that are otherwise restricted, other people use VPN because it can boost their digital security.
In all, a VPN can give users a greater control over their digital presence.
