The search engine giant had removed the quotas for how many URLs website owners can resubmit to Google from its 'Fetch as Google tool' in its Search Console Interface. This has left people wandering.
Google has then updated the help document on this topic, showing the crawl limit which has changed drastically: From 500 per month to about 300 per month for the 'Crawl only this URL,' and from 10 per month to 2 per day for the 'Crawl this URL and its direct links.'
Before the limits were:
- Crawl only this URL submits only the selected URL to the Google for re-crawling. You can submit up to 500 individual URLs in this way within a 30 day period.
- Select Crawl this URL and its direct links to submit the URL as well as all the other pages that URL links to directly for re-crawling. You can submit up to 10 requests of this kind within a 30 day period.

And after the update:
- Crawl only this URL submits only the selected URL to the Google for re-crawling. You can submit up to 10 individual URLs per day.
- Select & Crawl this URL and its direct links to submit the URL as well as all the other pages that URL links to directly for re-crawling. You can submit up to 2 of these site recrawl requests per day.

The change shouldn't be a big deal for web owners since most SEOs don't really use these tools that often.
Even if they do, these features are only used occasionally or on a limited basis. Instead, XML Sitemaps and normal crawl methods to manage bulk of how Google indexes websites, are used much more often.
