Opera Software has released the version 47 of of its Opera web browser to the stable release channel, after a shorter than usual release cycle.
What this means for Opera 47 is that, its shorter release cycle introduces less major features. Instead, most of its improvements come from lighter categories, such as usability improvements and bug fixes.
However, the browser still comes with a nifty feature.
For example, Opera 47 has an export all bookmark option. The bookmark feature exports all bookmarks - bookmarks, Speed Dial, and bookmarks bar - as a single HTML bookmarks file. To use the functionality, users can select Opera > Bookmarks > Show all Bookmarks, and then on the page that opens the Export bookmarks link in the left sidebar.
This will save the HTML file to any location desired. Some browsers support the importing of HTML bookmarks files, but users may also use the file directly, like uploading it to a location on the internet so that they can access it at any time on any browser.

Then there is an improvement on the personal news feed. Opera 47 comes with support of a personal news feed which works similarly to RSS feeds, but comes with a selection of "top" news sources. Users may add their own custom sources to their personal news feed if they want.
The news feed is updated regularly with new content, and Opera 47 comes with two new scan intervals (every 3 or 6 hours. And default at 30 minutes).
Then there is a tab restoration feature that keeps track of the last 32 tabs that were recently closed in the web browser. Previously, the default was set to 10 tabs. What this means, Opera 47 users can restore more tabs than before.

Opera 47 also makes video playback smoother on devices running Microsoft Windows 7 and Mac OS X. The video pop-out feature of Opera allows users to move videos to their own window when they play,.
What's more, Opera 47 was updated to Chromium 60 Screensaver files. As a result, files with .scf extension are added to the list of risky file extensions in Opera 47 on Windows.
