Twitter in Supporting Emoji Search: A Minor But Useful Improvement

Twitter - emojis

On Twitter, you're limited to 140 characters. Putting your thoughts into only a few words can be daunting.

For plenty of reasons, this is where emojis play their role, and from time to time, those little graphics can represent a whole new thoughts in just that limited space.

However, the emoji universe has expanded and users may have no idea what emoji can be best to describe certain occasion. For those that spend a lot of time on Twitter should know this.

On April 28th, 2017, Emojipedia first spotted that Twitter do have a feature that eases this process. Twitter users can indeed use its search feature to seek emoji characters they want to use.

To search for an emoji, users can search on either in usernames or within the text of a tweet itself.

The feature is supported on both Twitter's main website and app.

This is certainly a minor change, and it's probably not a feature that many users will use very often. However, this is definitely an improvement for all emoji-related searches, and can be practically helpful for power users.

With Twitter supporting emoji search, they can search for emoji-specific searches more precisely. This also improves searches for specific accounts that use emoji in their usernames. What's more, users can also search for a lot of random emoji to discover what may have been unknown to them.
