Twitter's Moments Is Now Available For Android And iOS Mobile Users

Twitter Moments

Twitter has Moments that allows users to create stories with their tweets and photos. Initially, the feature was created in-house, dedicated to only influencers and brands.

Later on, Twitter rolled it out to everyone else. But that time, it was only available Twitter for the web.

Twitter that has always been a mobile-first platform. On November 30th, 2016, the microblogging platform finally fulfills its promise.

With Moments available to Android and iOS, it's now accessible by more users. To create a Moment, users just need to find the tweet they would like to include, to then tap the down arrow that is located on the top-right corner of the tweet. Here, there is an option to select "Add Moment."

Moments for Twitter mobile also allows users to search for previously liked tweets to include.

On another screen, users can reorder the tweets, change their background colors and remove tweets. After that, they will come to the step where they can add a cover image and a title. To finish the process, the final step is to tap "Publish" to post the Moment.

Opening Moments to mobile users have been long expected. When Twitter first introduced Moments, it was a way to leverage user engagement and influence more people to sign up to the service. By having brands and influencers to have the first access, Twitter wanted them to spread the words out.

When Moments finally got the attention it needs, Twitter released it to more people by allowing normal accounts to use it. However, only users using Twitter on the web were able to use it.

While Moments was well-received by people, however, the results weren't at all what Twitter had in mind: users were still tweetstorming by linking several tweets into one tweet in order to express their longer thoughts, and not using Moments.

By adding the Moments feature to mobile, Twitter hopes that it will make more people adopt the feature.
