Widget From Binance Allows Cryptocurrency Trading Directly From Brave Browser

Brave - Binance

Cryptocurrency trading needs a private platform. This is one of the reasons why cryptocurrency trading giant Binance partnered with the privacy-focused Brave browser.

Brave was founded by Brendan Eich in 2015. It didn't take long until the browser becomes one of the most well-known for its privacy.

Unlike the dominant competitor Google Chrome, for example. Brave collects and sends a very limited data to its servers.

And by blocking trackers, ads and third-party cookies, Brave provides an increasingly attractive option to those who don't want their browsing activities collected by tech giants.

And here, it partnered with Binance to bring a seamless integration, to allow Brave users to trade cryptocurrencies through Binance.

According to the announcement:

"With the Binance widget, Brave users can access the Binance.com and Binance.US (for US-based users) sites, buy and sell crypto assets, view asset balances, and obtain deposit addresses all without leaving the browser."

With the widget, Brave users can receive, buy and trade assets, get deposit addresses, and view their balance for popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Litecoin and other altcoins supported by Binance, without having to leave the browser.

Previously, the Brave platform developed Basic Attention Token (BAT), its own cryptocurrency asset which helped Brave garner the attention of the cryptocurrency community.

With the Binance widget, Brave simply upped its popularity quotient, allowing it to extend its service.

However, Brave’s CEO Branden Eich said that the widget is mainly focused on trading, meaning that Binance's more advanced features aren't included in the widget.

But still, the widget is a native widget to Binance’s API, meaning that it does not load any data from Binance’s serve

It is also equipped with Binance's trading pairs, allowing it to tap into Binance to rely on the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance.

Brave’s CEO Branden Eich explained how the new partnership is going to work by saying:

"Our focus has always been on our users. This time, it’s about making crypto more usable by more people."

"We already have 1.6 million users who are crypto-savvy, they have signed up for the BAT Rewards Program; now they’ll be able to make crypto trades without leaving the browser."

To use this widget, all Brave users have to do, is to have a Binance account, which is needed to connect the widget to Binance.

This widget is initially introduced on Brave Nightly versions, a version that is a test and development ground for playing with new features within the browser.

What this means, at the moment of the announcement, the feature hasn't been rolled out to everyone just yet.
