Elon Musk is among the richest men in the world, thanks to his companies performing well in the market and the stock market.
As because he is also one of the most influential figure in the tech world, whatever he says can affect the economy, simply because he can control the public's perception about something.
And that is exactly what the Anonymous saying and accusing.
The politically-charged hacker group posted a video blasting the SpaceX and Tesla CEO for “constantly trolling” cryptocurrency markets.
“For the past several years you have enjoyed on of the most favorable reputations of anyone in the billionaire class because you have tapped into the desire that many of us have to live in a world with electric cars and space exploration,” said a person wearing a Guy Fawkes mask with a digitally altered voice in the video.
“Recently… people are beginning to see you as another narcissistic rich due who is desperate for attention.”
The person inside the video wants to comment about Musk's cryptic tweet about Bitcoin that devalued the asset.
“Millions of retail investors were really counting on their crypto gains to improve their lives,” the person in the video said. “Of course, they took the risk upon themselves when they invested, and everyone knows to be prepared for volatility in crypto, but your tweets this week show a clear disregard for the average working person.”
Anonymous is known as a group of hackers from different countries around the world, which has been linked to numerous cyberattacks on government entities, companies and others.
In the video, the Anonymous affirms that even though Elon has "positioned himself as concerned about the environment with Tesla's pivot away from Bitcoin," Musk does not practice what he preaches.
The person went on to further slammed Musk on a personal note, saying that he suffers from a "superiority complex," noting that he once dubbed himself the "Emperor of Mars."
And for last, the person warns Musk.
“You may think you are the smartest person in the room, but now you have met your match. We are Anonymous! We are legion. Expect us,” the person said.
Musk did not address the threat directly
