iOS 8 is Apple's eighth major release of its mobile operating system. The successor to iOS 7 was announced at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2014.
The operating system packs several major updates and enhancements, as well as many minor adjustments. The following is a list of the updates:
Improvement in Photo Library and iCloud, added features in App Store, updated Calenda, redesigned Control Center, updated features in Messages, Photos, Notes, Passbook, Music and FaceTime, redesigned Multitasking UI and share sheets, improved animations, enhanced Mail and Spotlight, the Notification Center is majorly enhanced, iBooks pre-installed with added features, major upgrade for Safari, tweaked Maps, enhanced Siri, more Accessibility and Privacy options, new keyboards with added functions, Wi-Fi calling, fullscreen caller ID, Family Sharing, Health app, Weather from Weather Channel instead from Yahoo! and with added information, redesigned lockscreen, etc..
