Some people may have fetishes, and in most cases, fetishes are kept private and discreet to others beside their spouse/sex partners.
But in one bizarre moment, a Brazilian politician was caught sniffing a pair of women’s underwear, and this happened during an online council meeting of the Bragança Paulista Town Council, a town in the southeastern Brazilian state of São Paulo.
Ditinho do Asilo, a member of a Christian party, was recorded pulling out the panties, which were said sent to him.
He pulled it out, thinking that his camera was off.

It all happened during the meeting, which was set up for the politicians to discuss issues about deforestation in the area.
During COVID-19 pandemic, where meetings are brought online to minimize face-to-face interactions to contain the spread of the disease, in Bragança Paulista, politicians were in a discussion, when council member Ditinho do Asilo of the Social Christian Party is seen pulling out a pair of small red underwear.
He is seen inspecting the garment in depth, before lifting the pair up to his nose to take a sniff, or a whiff, at its crotch area.
Ditinho do Asilo didn't realize his panty sniffing activity was caught on camera.
When he realized that the whole incident was recorded, the politician was indeed horrified.
He tried to explain that he had received a present in the mail during the session, and all he wanted was checking it out to see what he had been given.
But he did so only because he thought that his camera had also been deactivated along with his microphone, which had been turned off a moment before the panty reveal.
He was only alerted when another council member who was present at the time, told him that his camera was still on.
"It was a misfortune of my lack of practice with this technology. I wore a pink shirt and, as a joke, a friend sent me these knickers. It was an edible item from one of those sex shops. That’s why I sniffed it. I have a family."
"It was just a joke that, because of my naivety, became public."
He also added that he did not mean to disrespect fellow councilor Fabiana Alessandri, who was speaking at the time.
"I agree that it wasn’t the moment to do this, but I wasn’t speaking, I was following the agenda."
"When a councilor is at home, they can be doing anything when they join a session and I went to open the package and I was caught."
While the politician has his own excuses, Ditinho do Asilo apologized to the council.
