Despite the web's rapid development, the Internet Explorer was still common browsers in computers. On February 9, 2004, Mozilla Firebird became Mozilla Firefox. The browser gained massive popularity in the same year.

The web browser is developed for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux, coordinated by Mozilla Corporation and Mozilla Foundation. Firefox uses the Gecko layout engine to render web pages

The project began as an experimental branch of the Mozilla project by Blake Ross, Dave Hyatt and Joe Hewitt. Firefox has went through many versions before version 1.0 was released.
