In the sun-drenched hills of Los Angeles, where wealth and glamour often collide, a striking 28-year-old Israeli woman was hunting.
From one victim to the next, model named Adva Lavie allegedly orchestrated a calculated scheme that preyed on trust and desire. Known professionally as Mia Ventura, and sometimes using aliases like Shoshana or Shana, Lavie built a public image as Israel's self-proclaimed first top OnlyFans model, with features in Playboy and Penthouse magazines.
She presented herself as a glamorous companion, driving luxury vehicles such as a black Porsche Macan and a white Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe, while frequenting high-end events and clubs.
Behind that polished facade, however, prosecutors claim she spent two years from 2023 to 2025 using dating apps and social media to target victims, primarily wealthy older men, but also some younger women, in affluent neighborhoods including Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and areas around Malibu.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Adva Lavie would connect with potential victims online, cultivating what appeared to be genuine romantic or companionship relationships.
When a victim is caught in her net, she posed to them as a caring girlfriend or travel companion. Thanks to her looks and her ability to socialize, she managed to build enough trust to gain physical access to their homes.
Once inside of an enclosed personal space of her victim, the alleged pattern was straightforward yet devastating: she would steal cash, gold, high-end designer items, credit cards, and other valuables before disappearing. The scheme reportedly involved not just opportunistic theft but also the unauthorized use of victims' personal identifying information.
In some instances, victims described her developing friendships that led to robberies or even attempts at extortion.
One early law enforcement bulletin from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in October 2025 sought additional victims, noting she may have targeted at least ten older men in the Malibu and broader LA County region, with more individuals coming forward after media coverage.
Lavie’s background added layers to the story.
Born on July 10, 1997, she was raised in an Orthodox Jewish family in Jerusalem, Israel. In interviews, she has described a strict upbringing where she was forbidden from wearing revealing clothing or even speaking to men outside of family contexts. This ultra-religious environment shaped her early years before she began to rebel against those restrictions.
At age 18, Lavie enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), as is mandatory for most Israeli citizens. She completed her two-year service, during which she received training in firearm use and various survival techniques.
After her discharge, she transitioned into civilian work, and worked as a flight attendant for an Israeli international airline. However, she lost this job during the COVID-19 pandemic, which reportedly prompted her to pivot toward modeling and the adult entertainment industry.
Her Penthouse profile under the name Mia Ventura explicitly mentions her past as a flight attendant who "no longer makes her living in the air, but still loves to travel."
Lavie relocated to the Los Angeles area in the United States, where she built a career as a glamour and adult model. She received breast implants as part of her work, and appeared in Playboy and Penthouse magazines, notably featured as a "21st Century Penthouse Pet" for July 2023 under the name Mia Ventura.

She also embraced a flashy lifestyle that matched the image she projected: attending charity galas and Las Vegas nightlife scenes, while promoting her OnlyFans content.
Some reports mentioned additional allegations beyond the main charges, such as stealing from purses during events or attempting unauthorized charges on victims' cards, including incidents linked to local businesses like a skincare spa or clothing boutique.
However, the core case centers on the dating-app-to-burglary pipeline, where the pretense of intimacy allegedly opened doors to residential theft.
On March 23, 2026, a judge held Lavie to answer on six felony charges in Los Angeles Superior Court case 25VWCF01988: two counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information, two counts of grand theft, one count of first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and one count of first-degree residential burglary.
She had previously pleaded not guilty to all counts.
If convicted on every charge, she could face a maximum sentence of up to 11 years and eight months in state prison.
Following the preliminary hearing, Lavie was released from custody but placed on an ankle monitor under home detention. She is ordered to stay away from the named victims.
The case is being prosecuted by the LA County DA’s Van Nuys Branch, with investigations involving the LAPD and LASD.
