Mr Bean Takes His First Steps Into The Metaverse Using His Own Rowan Atkinson-Approved NFT Collection

Mr Bean, is slow-witted, sometimes ingenious and selfish buffoon from the UK, famous for his brown tweed jacket, white shirt, a thin red tie, brown trousers, and his black shoes.

The fictional character is so likeable for many people in many generations, because of how he makes a comedy through the various unusual schemes in everyday tasks.

And this time, the character is stepping into the so-called metaverse, by launching his own NFT collectibles.

The British television co-created and played by Rowan Atkinson, would make his NFT debut in a joint venture between the web 3.0 company FOMO Lab with content producer and distributor Banijay.

According to Rowan Atkinson, the British actor who starred as the famous television icon and anti-hero character:

"I think that this is a great idea."

"Any initiative which not only draws attention to but actually enables access to the fabulous artwork associated with the Mr Bean Animation series, I welcome with open arms."

The Mr Bean NFT series use Atkinson’s likeness from the cartoon spin-off show Mr Bean: The Animated Series.

The collection features exactly 3,333 unique Mr Bean collectibles which can be purchased with the cryptocurrency Ethereum, exclusively on FOMO Labs' marketplace dubbed The Avenue.

The unique digital collectibles of Mr Bean is purchasable from May 25th, 2022.

Mr Bean is a comedic character co-created by actor Rowan Atkinson himself.

The character was first brought to life in a television series in 1990. It didn't take too long before the TV series made two feature films and an animated series starring the character.

Since then, Mr Bean has been much more than many people's childhood memory.

By buying the Mr Bean NFT, buyers will have access to "phygital" rewards.

What this means, buyers will get "redeemables including a signed, unpublished hand-drawn still of Mr Bean from the first animated series."

And Mr Bean entering the NFT world is certainly good news for many Mr Bean fans around the world.

The bad thing however, the release comes as the cryptocurrency-based market went sluggish, affecting digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum, which dropped tremendously as the global stock market moves to reject high-risk investments.

The moment also came when the NFT market crashed.

When Mr Bean launched his own NFTs, global NFT sales were plummeting, with many selling for just a fraction of what they were bought for.

Scams and hacks are also rife within the community.

And this was also shown on Mr Bean's Discord server, which has been infiltrated by scammers as soon as it was launched.
