The Academy Awards are star-studded events, presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).

As one of the most famous events in the entertainment industry, the Oscars is where the recognition of excellence in cinematic achievements is assessed. Due to its long heritage and history, the Academy Awards events are regarded by many as the most prestigious, significant awards worldwide.

After all, it's the oldest worldwide entertainment awards ceremony, and that it could be traced back to 1929.

Lady Gaga is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. And at the 95th Annual Academy Awards, she made her appearance using a black Versace gown, which features a semi-transparent tulle bustier top showed off several of her tattoos.

To make herself standout even more, the singer added a gothic touch through her eye makeup, and pairing that with a bright red lipstick.

She also put her own spin on the look with diamond-laden jewelries, including diamond-studded earrings, a ring, a bracelet and a vintage platinum necklace.

That alone is enough to make headlines.

But what makes Lady Gaga a topic to discuss on the internet, is when she helped a photographer who fell, who in turn responded inappropriately.

Lady Gaga was walking on the Dolby Theatre's champagne-colored carpet as she entered the venue.

Nominated in the best original song category for "Hold My Hand," from the box office smash hit "Top Gun: Maverick," the singer at one point rushed to help a photographer who had taken a fall while brushing past her.

Without any hesitation, Lady Gaga approached the photographer, giving him a helping hand to stand up.

But apparently, the photographer responded by touching her waist.

The photographer stood up, and pat on the “Born This Way” singer’s back and on her hips two times. And seemingly, Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" may have slipped.

As soon as the video of this was posted on Twitter, millions of people have viewed it.

Many praised the singer for doing what she did, applauding her for stopping in the middle of Hollywood's biggest night to help a paparazzi, a profession that has long been notoriously a menace to celebrities.

She just didn't stop and look, because she really went and helped the man.

Many others however, mocked the photographer.

Those people responded to the incident, by blaming the photographer for being an opportunist.

Some said that he harassed the singer by touching her without her consent, and she has the right to feel angry .

Others however, responded in a more positive manner.

For example, Lady Gaga was not upset, but was only looking down to whatever fell. Another said that the photographer didn't do what he did to harass her. Instead, some argued that the man was literally in the middle of standing up from a fall, and that he was kind of reaching out to the person that was helping him.

And apparently, Lady Gaga was that person, and he inadvertently steadied himself by touching her waist.

Regardless, a brief split second before Lady Gaga helped him, a man was already there lending him a hand. But instead of responding to the man, he responded to Lady Gaga.
