When searching for information online, speed is everything. People expect instant results, leaving no room for delays.
This urgency has fueled intense competition among service providers, pushing advancements in internet infrastructure, website optimization, and browser performance. Even the fastest internet can feel sluggish if the browsing experience isn't seamless.
Vivaldi believes one major bottleneck is the address bar itself. If it lags, even the best connection won’t satisfy a frustrated user in a hurry.
A browser’s speed isn’t just about loading pages—it starts the moment you type in a search or URL.

In a blog post, Vivaldi said that:
You’ll notice a boost in speed and efficiency, especially if you’re one of those who like to keep your browsing fast and furious. No more delays, just the info you want, when you need it.
In true Vivaldi fashion, you are in charge. You can finetune the address bar to match your workflow.

Vivaldi said that the change may not be immediately noticeable. But the optimized connection handling should make a difference.
"Say what? Eh, sorry, we’re geeks! We made pages load faster. For some of you it will be more than twice as fast. No tricks, no gimmicks, just good old-fashioned optimization," the post continues.

And again, to pamper power users, Vivaldi that has already offered a keyboard shortcuts, is taking things a step further with a priority list—giving users more control over how they function.
This new feature lets you seamlessly manage and prioritize shortcuts, whether users prefer Vivaldi-specific commands or page-specific actions, ensuring they work how users want to work.
Another addition, is the ability to turn emails into calendar events.
Since many people have their schedules emailed to them, Vivaldi thinks that it can make them work together.

"Now you can create an event directly from an email, or from a web page. Got a meeting request? A concert ticket confirmation? No need to copy and paste details manually, simply right-click and create an event instantly," said Vivaldi.
Other features introduced in this 7.2 version, include a new currency widget, access to workspaces in Quick Commands, the ability reorder email accounts, and more.
Vivaldi holds only a tiny fraction of the market compared to Google Chrome. However, even the smallest enhancements—if genuinely useful—can delight existing fans and potentially attract new users.
