The Samsung Galaxy S25 series marks a milestone in the mobile industry, and that can be credited to AI.
The series introduces a new level of AI integration, which goes beyond just basic voice commands. The series introduce a way for users to engage in natural conversations, utilize AI across various apps, and gain quick insights from various content types, as easy as possible.
To be able to do this, Samsung finally ditches Bixby, and makes its collaboration with Google more useful.
Here, the South Korean brand integrates Google Gemini to its phones, effectively putting Google's advanced Large Language Model to be part of the overall system.
This partnership brings a powerful AI assistant to Samsung devices, enhancing user experiences in exciting new ways.

According to Google in a blog post:
First of, Gemini Live enables users to engage in natural, free-flowing conversations with Gemini.
It's particularly useful for brainstorming new ideas, organizing your thoughts, or simplifying complex topics.
Designed for Android, Gemini Live makes it easy to transition from phone activities to a conversation.
Initially rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S25 series, as well as the older S24 series, and also Google's own Pixel 9 devices, Google said that it has made improvements to it to make it more versatile, allowing users to add images, files, and YouTube videos to the discussion.
Previously, Gemini can already assist users in completing tasks across apps like YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail and Spotify.
This time, Google has tweaked the AI to also be able to help users complete tasks across Samsung array of apps, like Samsung Calendar, Notes, Reminder and Clock.
This is possible with the extensions feature, which extends Gemini's reach and access.
" [...] you can now ask Gemini to use multiple extensions in a single prompt. For example, if you’re looking for a list of high-protein lunch ideas, you can ask Gemini for some recipes and then easily save them to a note directly on Samsung Notes or Google Keep," explained Google.

And to make Gemini more accessible on these newer Samsung Galaxy phones, Google has made it possible for users to just long-press on the side button to summon Gemini right away (instead of Bixby).
Google has also redesigned the Gemini overlay and homepage on Android, making it more simple and smaller.
The redesign also removes the split-screen multitasking handle and the ability to open the full Gemini app. The Google Assistant-esque "Good morning, afternoon, or evening" greeting is also gone.
