Google is long known to be a search engine, but it has also been more than just a place to search the web. With Google's search box, users can find a whole lot of information, including IP addresses, run speed test, convert units and more.
By constantly adding new capabilities to Search, Google is also having the functionality where users can convert colors from RGB to hex colors value and vice versa.
To some people for many reasons, this may not be something useful. But for designers, this is just something handy. Previously, they need to visit separate websites just to know this.
RGB and hex are two ways of identifying colors to a computer. RGB represents colors in a combination of red, green and blue. An example for RGB is 255, 255, 255 which represents the color white. Hex on the other hand represents colors in hexadecimal notation (#FFFFFF for white).
While Google didn't formally introduce the update, users can now search for color values straight within Google.

Besides having the capability to show colors and its values, users can also explore the entire palette of colors and see how they're represented. For example: they just need to search for "RGB to hex", and Google will show a simple color picker.
The feature works on both desktop and its Search app. While this is just a small addition to the already sophisticated search engine, it's indeed a welcome one. And this surely adds another neat tricks to Search.
As an added bonus, users can also see HSV, HSL, and CMYK color values on the widget's drop-down menu.
