Google's Gmail Supports Third-Party Add-Ons To Ease Users' Workflow

Google's Gmail is one of the most popular email service. The company has just enabled 'Add-ons' for Gmail so users can practically do their things easier.

The feature is available for Gmail on desktop as well as Android for personal Gail and G Suite accounts. Without having to install anything, uses can just visit Gmail on their browser to click the gear icon. There is the "Get add-ons' Google has provided.

The add-ons here ease the process of doing things. So for example, rather than toggling between inbox and other apps, users can use add-ons to complete actions right within Gmail. This way, inbox can contextually surface users' go-to app based on messages the have received.

Without interrupting the flow, experience will be faster.

"We believe email can do more, which is why we're launching Gmail Add-ons, a new way to work with your favorite business apps directly in Gmail."

Google have made Gmail Add-ons available in developer preview earlier in 2017. And since then, partners have started to built integrations to help business connect with their customers, track projects, facilitate invoicing and more.

Initially, there are a handful of productivity-focused apps users can use. They include: Asana, Dialpad, DocuSign, Hire, Intuit QuickBooks Invoicing, ProsperWorks, RingCentral, Smartsheet, Streak, Trello and Wrike.

G Suite and Gmail users can check the G Suite Marketplace to find and install the add-ons

Developers can easily add add-ons to their app or organization. By coding once, the add-ons will natively run in Gmail on the web and Android automatically.

The add-ons can certainly make Gmail more useful and indispensable for those people who frequently juggle through apps to get things done.
