Today, after a couple of decades, the internet has penetrated more than 30 percent of the world's population at 2.3 billion users, increasing at a rapid rate.

Since the last decade, the penetration of broadband and wireless communication has changed everything. In its first decade, the web altered the pace of popular culture. It made communication way easier by rendering information that is instantly accessible with less amount of cost and efforts.

On the whole, internet has unquestionably arrived with a generous number of advantages and is helping broaden horizons, the world over. It is doing its bit to make the world a smarter place as frequent and reliable resource sharing and discovery is brought to you by this new-age technological innovation. But, like any other scientific innovation, it should be used ethically for the welfare of the society.

There is no doubt that the internet is one of the greatest inventions of the last century.
