A change is a must, and the more frequent the better, especially when doing a business in an industry that is always changing.

Microsoft is one giant tech company. Having provided Windows as the most ubiquitous operating system, the company also conducts business in the cloud computing world with Azure. Knowing that the cloud is a booming business, especially following the 'COVID-19' pandemic, Microsoft thinks that an updated logo should give it a fresh appeal.

Azure has long been represented using the 'A' logo.

And here, the Azure logo redesign does not go beyond that, but updates the look to make it more modern.

In a blog post, Microsoft wrote that:

"As your ally in the cloud, our Azure mission is to deliver thoughtfully designed products and services that equip you to solve challenges and invent what’s next. Our ability to meet your business and innovation needs is in part due to our growth mindset—which extends from front-end user experiences to small details like graphics and icons."

The logo has been redesigned with a Fluent Design-inspired looks, making the logo feels well at home with the rest of Microsoft's product lineup, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the rest of Microsoft 365.

After all, and in order for a better brand recognition, Microsoft in aiming for consistency is very obvious.

This updated logo design is meant to be rolled out across Microsoft's Azure product experiences and websites in the coming weeks, according to Microsoft.

Microsoft added that the logo has been carefully crafted so that it's familiar to what Azure customers already know and love.

"The constant evolution of the cloud industry—and your business needs—is inspiring. It drives us to deliver products and services that support your growth and adapt to your shifting requirements. Your feedback is priceless for identifying and prioritizing updates," said Microsoft.
