Periscope Introduces Analytics Dashboard, Activity Tab And An Integration With Twitter Moments

Periscope

Periscope is a live video streaming app for iOS and Android. For video creators that want to get more from what they've shared, the platform is introducing three new features.

First up is the Analytics Dashboard. Previously, video creators can already see metrics that are associated with their broadcasts. Like the number of live and replay viewers, the total time people were watching a video and the average time each viewer spent on watching.

The Analytics Dashboard has all those, including:

  1. Video duration.
  2. Total viewers.
  3. Hearts.
  4. Total time watched.
  5. Total time watched per viewer.

This feature that is initially available for Periscope on the web should give a more comprehensive overview of the performance of videos. Some of those metrics can be broken down into live and replay, giving video creators even more insights. The numbers are represented by both graph and list format, and users have the ability to sort as well as export their data.

The next one is the Activity Tab that brings forward different types of community engagement for each videos. This allows video creators to see different type of activities, including when someone follows them or when someone watches their video replay.

Activity Tab is initially available for Android and iOS, with more features to come.

The last is an integration of Periscope video to Twitter Moments.

This highlights Twitter that is going all-in on Periscope. In an effort to drive more users to create live video on Twitter, Periscope has added an integration to Twitter's Moments. This way, video broadcasts can be more prominent across Twitter.

What's more, video creators also have the ability to create tweets that include their live video straight into Moments.
