SEO for Branding and Converting Leads

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is commonly known as one of the ways to get more traffic for a website. Some people are able to do it themselves with the many methods available as an investment with minimal cost. But SEO is not just about getting great rankings in the search engines, or about getting a mass amount of traffic.

SEO is currently considered as a necessity for an online public awareness. Many websites use SEO to further promote their products and/or services for a greater visibility among their competitors. But what SEO can do is more than just having a website visible.

Branding

When a website ranks for targeted keywords, the website is showing the web surfers that it is one of the most relevant results for that search query. For example, if a website is all about property selling, the owner of the site would want to rank the site first on 'house'. And if It is successful in obtaining the rank, then web surfers would see the site as the first result, which make them a visitor to the site.

This branding can benefit the business in a whole lot of ways. From an increase traffic to having a valuable position on that specific keyword. And if the website is into advertising, this would be a start for a great and successful campaign.

Converting Leads

When someone is searching for queries relevant to the products and/or services your business is offering, you want them to find your website, click the link, and convert these potential visitor to a customer. You’re also likely to convert them at a higher rate, considering the facts that they are a quality lead since they entered a search query relevant to your offerings and went through their most trusted search engine to find you. Naturally, these searchers are quality leads, and when you rank for targeted keywords around your product and/or service, your goal should be to bring in traffic and convert those visitors, not just bring in more window shoppers.

While you can get great rankings for certain keywords, if they don’t align with the products and/or services you are selling, or the brand that you are trying to showcase, then you probably won’t get the customers that will help to grow your business. Rankings and traffic don’t mean much if you are not, and can not convert that traffic into customers to profit your business.
