Apple formally releases iOS 9 as the ninth release of the iOS mobile operating system, the successor to iOS 8.

The mobile operating version by Apple was announced at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference 2015 on June 8th. The OS focuses less on new features but more on optimizations and battery. improvements.

With enhanced security and performance, the iOS 9 enhances previous stock apps and integrates them throughout the OS, and improving their stability. The OS features the News app which replaces the Newsstand app to bring a unified experience. The Map app supports and expands to more cities and can also makes recommendations to points of interests, restaurants and more. The Notes app is enhanced with a number of different new tools

The OS also improves multitasking with Slide Over, Split View, and Picture in Picture, similar to the experience found on OS X El Capitan. It also highlights 3D Touch which homes Peek and Pop among others.

Siri is improved and integrated with Search (previously known as Spotlight). It can be available throughout the OS and more aware of contextual information.
