Furious And Fired Employee Leaks Starbucks Coffee Recipes To The Internet

Starbucks is an American multinational chain of coffeehouses and roastery.

The world's largest coffeehouse chain with more than 35,000 stores in 80 countries, Starbucks has long cemented itself in pop culture, thanks to its vibe in its venues, and also due to the range of its recipes, ranging from cold brews and frappes. Starbucks can carter pretty much most people's favorite drinks.

And this time, when leaked images containing the recipes of some of its staple products circulated online, users couldn't help but share their thoughts.

It's allegedly said that a Starbucks employee shared the recipes of its drinks on social media after getting fired.

And what's certain, the leaked information that contain around 40 recipes are is indeed confidential.

Coffee.
People visit Starbucks for different reasons, depending on their preferences, moods, and needs, and more than just coffee.

"A Starbucks employee got fired, and she posted every Starbucks drink recipe. You’re welcome," wrote a user on X, in a then-deleted post.

The recipes come in photos, allegedly taken by the disgruntled employee.

They include recipes for white chocolate mocha, coconut milk vanilla latte, iced caramel macchiato, cold brew with cold foam, and many more.

In the leaked recipes, it's found that Starbucks allegedly use high amounts of sugar, but very little coffee.

While Starbucks is renowned for offering a wide range of coffee options and being known for its global presence, the coffee giant has never publicly disclosed the precise ingredients used to create their signature brews.

This is why the leak garnered so much attention.

"No need to visit Starbucks," said one user on X.

In the comments, many people noted how Starbucks must've seen this coming, and such retaliation would come sooner or later because of its union-busting acts in the U.S..

Before this, in April, Starbucks fired three union organizers in New York, prompting much criticism.

Following the leak, many people both thanked and took the leak humorously, others are concerned about the consequences the ex-employee could face, and what the leak would affect new recruits in the future.

Employment contracts may get stricter following this incident, for example.

Leak like this can affect business performance, but for Starbucks, many people said that the act would barely harm its business because people rarely go to its stores just for coffee.

Some offerings are seasonal or specific to the locality of the store.

What's more, the recipes aren't "really" secret because professional baristas should also be able to come up with similar recipes, if not the same, when asked.

Besides that, Starbucks also sell coffee grounds, tea and juices, as well as other beverages, pastries, and snacks.

And that as a big company with such a huge brand, it's safe to say that Starbucks only use ingredients that meet its standards, meaning that not everyone can get their hands on the same quality coffee and base.

"You still can’t get the taste and vibe of Starbucks when you make it at home," a X user commented.
