It Took 5 Years For Facebook To Remove A Page Dedicated To A Woman's Butthole

Samantha Rae Anna Jespersen was haunted by an unofficial location page marked “Samantha Rae Anna Jespersen’s Butthole”, which pinned her high school home.

The Page was created when she was 15, without her knowledge. Jespersen then 23 and a professional baker, realized about this Page when she Googled her name back in 2015, in which she found that the Facebook Business Page was first on Google's search engine results page.

Jespersen never wanted her butthole to be the first thing that came up when someone Googled her name. She was enraged.

Her reaction was: “What the fuck?” “How did this happen?”

“This unofficial Page was created because people on Facebook have shown interest in this place or business. It's not affiliated with or endorsed by anyone associated with Samantha Rae Anna Jespersen's Butthole,” said the Facebook Business Page.

“I feel like if anybody has found it, it would probably feel way too weird to talk to me about it,” she said. “And if I didn’t get a job over it, they definitely wouldn't call me and say, ‘Hey, found the Page about your butthole, not going to hire you, bye,’” Jespersen said.

Jespersen reported this incident to Facebook several times for several years with no avail. The company claimed that the Page's existence didn't violate its terms.

Facebook rejected the report of the Page, saying that it didn't qualify as harassment.

Jespersen then ran to Reddit and posted her story on r/legaladvice for help getting it removed. The incident quickly came to many people's attention. Some users suggested that perhaps some friends had created an "interest" in her butthole on their own Facebook profiles as a joke, or "checked in" to that location.

This triggered Facebook to automatically create a Page.

"I didn’t really expect anybody to like say anything, or maybe a couple people would say, ‘there’s nothing you can do like it’s the internet, get over it.’ But now it’s gotten way more attention than I thought it would, and there’s a lot of good advice. I don’t want to do anything until I think about it, because this all kind of happened at once. But also, I’ve been reporting it for years, so I feel like Facebook should have done something about it then, and maybe they should monitor the site a little bit better," she said.

Before it was taken down, the “business” of Jespersen’s butthole had no reviews, and no Stories have been added to it.

Since it was created as a Business Page, Jespersen had no option to claim the Page, which could allow her to take it down.

“I feel like I should’ve been able to get it removed based off the fact that it was my real name, and I was underage, and since it had my old address.”

Nevertheless, her years long frustrating battle came to an end, as Facebook removed the Page after BuzzFeed News article about the issue was published.
