Madonna Sells NFTs Modelled On Her Vagina, Including One With A Tree Growing Out From It

Madonna is "The Material Girl," and "The Queen of Pop." Besides that, she is also the master of self-marketing.

Whereas most people on the internet who are exposing more of themselves through partial and full nudity have become mainstream, Madonna has crossed the boundaries between clothed and nakedness since her early twenties, tracing back to the 1970s, way before the internet, and longer than many others who have done the same in the entertainment industry.

And this time, she stepped a bit further.

Madonna teamed up with Beeple, the American digital artist who sold his NFT work for $69 millions, to create a collaboration, titled "Mother of Creation."

It's a series of three digital artworks, each depicting a fully-nude Madonna in the middle of giving birth to various non-human organisms.

First, is the Mother of Evolution, which shows a swarm of orange butterflies taking their first flight out of Madonna's private parts.

The singer is seen sitting, spreading her legs on top of an armored vehicle, against a post-apocalyptic urban landscape.

The second, is Mother of Technology, which is a depiction of Madonna giving birth to robot centipedes in a lush forest.

The arthropods are shown crawling out of her, covered in her blood.

And the third, is Mother of Nature, which shows Madonna in a futuristic laboratory, laying on top of what looks like a medical bed, in a concept that appears to be similar to Ridley Scott's film Prometheus. She is seen spreading her legs, before a tree bark grows from inside of her vaginal orifice, before branching out to grow twigs and leaves.

The tree then grows flowers, including one that looks like an orchid.

It's this NFT that shows Madonna's private parts in clear, but digitized, NSFW point-of-view.

What makes it unique and controversial is that, the three artworks were centered on Madonna's vagina, in which it is based on a 3D scan of her own genital.

The digital artworks have been put on in an auction at NFT marketplace SuperRare.

From these descriptions, it is said that the butterflies in Mother of Evolution signify hope amid the end of the world, while the centipedes in Mother of Technology represent technological progress that is dangerous and/or utopian, and the tree sprouting out of Madonna's reproductive organ is about "My journey through life as a women is like that of a tree."

Madonna explained her intention using overarching sentiments of the collection in a conversation with Beeple, posted to her Twitter account.

"We set out to create something that is absolutely and utterly connected to the idea of creation and motherhood," she said. "I think it’s really important that people know that a lot of thought and conversation went into creating these videos."

She further defended the NFT collection by saying that she's simply doing what women have done, which is giving a natural birth. Madonna just depicts that in art forms.

The digital artworks of Madonna and her genital were auctioned off with a price reaching tens of thousands of dollars.

It is said that proceeds from the SuperRare auction shall be donated to support women and children through three charities picked by Madonna and Beeple.

This collaboration is Madonna's first foray into NFT and the metaverse.

Born on August 16th, Madonna turns 64 years old in 2022.

But just like how the world knows and recognizes Madonna as the "Queen of Reinvention," she is showing that age is just a number.

At least for her.

This shows that the pop music singer and actress is not slowing down, even a bit, in a way that wine improves with age.

Just before this, Madonna shocked the public when she revealed a much younger look. After all, she is Madonna, and that she's always in control of her image.
