Mia Khalifa Under Fire For Her 'Molotov Cocktail Instruction Kit' Twitter Post

26/02/2022

Mia Khalifa is no stranger for becoming the center of attention.

After all, she was a porn star, who became the most popular star on Pornhub two months after debuting, and remain among the most popular even after she retired.

Mia is considered among the few adult performers whose popularity outlived her porn career because of the internet.

While the Lebanon-born has put her raunchy works behind, and doesn't work in the adult industry anymore, that doesn't mean she couldn't again become the center of attention.

That is because on Twitter, she posted the correct way to create a molotov cocktail.

The timing couldn't be more precise, since she posted it just one day after Russia began attacking Ukraine.

The ex-Pornhub star shocked millions of her fans and followers after posting a picture on Twitter of instructions on how to make the petrol bombs.

Some immediately slammed her, and called the tweet inappropriate, especially when the world is bracing for Russia's wrath. Others worried that the instructions could be used by the wrong people for wrong purposes.

"It’s useful for Ukrainians, but delete the image please. Some accounts of twitter shouldn’t know how to make a bomb,” one of her followers said.

"I understand the reason behind this but please delete this, it’s not necessary for all of twitter to know how to make a molotov," another said.

Many others however, responded positively.

Some of her fans from Ukraine even thanked Mia for standing with them.

"OMG! Thank you for support! Didn’t expect you’ll talk about resistance such directly," one of her followers said.

"In Ukraine we say 'Ikoha' about such brave women," said another.

"Thank you for your contribution to guerrilla warfare; you always in our dreams….. love you," said another.

"Thank you Mia for supporting Ukraine," another said.

It's worth noting that Mia posted the tweet after Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told his citizens that:

"This night the enemy will use all its forces to break our resistance – vile, cruel and inhuman…. Tonight they will storm."

And also after the Ministry of Defense in Ukraine started encouraging citizens to arm themselves and make Molotov cocktails, saying that:

"Make Molotov cocktails, neutralize the occupier! Peaceful residents, be careful! Do not leave the house!"

Just hours after the announcements, fighting broke out in Ukraine's capital Kyiv.

Gun firing and explosions were heard when Ukrainians were defending their positions.

Molotov cocktails, or also known by others as petrol bombs, gasoline bombs, bottle bombs, poor man's grenades, fire bombs and others, are essentially improvised incendiary weapon.

It is made by filling a glass bottle or any fragile glass containers with flammable substances.

Contents can include gasoline, ethanol, or a combination of napalm ingredients, like naphthalene, petrol with a thickening agent palmitic acid. Sometimes, motor oil or styrofoam can used as a replacement for the thickening agent palmitic acid, in order to make the ignited gasoline stick to the target.

After putting the flammable contents inside the container, a fuse is attached.

To arm it, simply lit the fuse, and throw the container. When container will shatter on impact, and spread its burning contents to the target.

Most often, motolov cocktails are used by civilians in clashes, simply because of the damage it can cause, and the ingredients that are relatively easy to find.

And what Mia Khalifa did here, was simplifying everything into a sketch she uploaded to Twitter.

Since posting the instructions, Khalifa has continued to speak out about the war in Ukraine.

And in response to the divided opinions, she took her thoughts to an Instagram Stories, where she can be seen laughing in a video captioned:

"Not going the way R*ssia is expecting it to though, is it?"
