She was not a daredevil.
Her name was Kübra Doğan, a 23-year-old social media influencer from Istanbul, Turkey.
At the time, Kübra was visiting her 16-year-old cousin, Helen, at the family’s apartment complex.
It was during that time, that the two decided to film a TikTok content on the rooftop, which oversees the Esenyurt district. The pair wanted to take advantage of the lighting from the sunset, otherwise known as "golden hour."
But in her attempt to make a fabulous TikTok video, she missed her step, during the time she sat on a ledge.
Kübra plummeted, falling down from the stories-high building, to her death 50 meters below.

What happened was that, the TikToker stepped on a grey semi-transparent covering, which tragically ripped apart.
The roofing part Kübra stepped on, was made by polycarbonate, which meant to allow the light into the stairwell down below.
While the material is very durable and has many times the impact resistance of a glass and can withstand all kinds of climates and environmental impacts, polycarbonate roofs can be very brittle, especially when they have been exposed to the weathers for years.
Kübra thought that the transparent roofing could hold her weight, and stepping off the ledge to land on the roofing was a fatal move.
The polycarbonate part of the roof immediately ripped apart the moment she landed on it.
Kübra cousin Helen, caught the horrific scene on camera.
From the footage, Kübra can be seen disappearing through the hole from the ripped roof.
Helen froze for a brief moment, turned off the camera, and quickly called her family.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene after a call from the family.
But when they got there, Kübra had already passed.
According to reports, the two had already spent a few minutes taking photos and videos footage on the roof before Kübra fell.
The incident happened around 7:30PM local time.
Responding to this incident, Kübra's uncle, Nebi Dogan, reportedly planned to “sue the contractor” because of the "flimsy" roofing.
He also claimed that he "will not give up" until the contractor is brought to justice, saying that "we will not let him go."
"There is a big flaw in the contractor there," he said.
"As soon as the girl puts her foot down, [the panel] breaks and she falls to the ground from the ninth floor."
What made it more harrowing, it was reported that the uncle had cautioned the two girls before Kubra’s tragic death.
"We warned them, but they did not obey."
Following her death and autopsy, Kübra's body was taken to her hometown at Midyat in the Mardin province of Turkey, where she was then buried.
Kübra's death was far from the first.
In fact, TikTok deaths have become an epidemic among stars on the platform.
Many youngsters have passed away because of doing some risky challenges, or going to places that are dangerous, just for the sake of a TikTok video.
These users risk almost anything to rise to fame, hoping to earn Likes and followers.
While youngsters seem to be fearless, TikTok's growing popularity is forcing parents and authorities to figure out how to stop the youngsters from hurting themselves.
