It was calm and quiet—until the battle for AI dominance began.
When OpenAI introduced ChatGPT, it created a surge of astonishment and demand that quickly reshaped the AI landscape. Realizing the immense potential and profitability of this space, competitors raced to create their own products to rival or even surpass ChatGPT.
Among the frontrunners in this battle is Anthropic.
Initially, most rivals offered similar features, sticking to the basics. But over time, they began striving to set themselves apart.
Anthropic took a bold step in this direction, becoming the first to equip a Large Language Model with the ability to use a computer much like a human would.
This time, it's giving users a way to customize how Claude behave.
With styles, you can now customize how Claude responds.

Unlike the so-called 'memory' feature like on ChatGPT and Google Gemini that makes AIs remember past conversations and users' preferences in chats, Anthropic is giving Claude what it calls a 'custom styles' feature.
In the announcement, Anthropic said that the feature is meant to "tailor Claude's responses to your personal style."
"Now you can tailor Claude's responses to your unique needs and workflows."
For example, users can use the feature to match their communication preferences, tone, and structure.
"Whether you're a developer writing technical documentation, a marketer crafting specific brand guidelines, or a product team planning extensive project requirements, Claude can adapt to your preferred way of writing."
Custom styles presets include:
- Formal: clear and polished responses.
- Concise: shorter and more direct responses.
- Explanatory: educational responses for learning new concepts.

Or, users can simply have Claude to generate the custom styles for them.
All users need to do, is upload a sample content that reflects their preferred way of communicating. They can then specify instructions to match their needs, and edit their preferences as they evolve.
With custom styles, users can make Claude their AI.
In another announcement, Anthropic introduced what it calls 'Model Context Protocol', designed to help AIs connect directly to multiple datasets, which Anthropic said can eliminate the need to create custom code for each one.
'Model Context Protocol' is an open standard that allows developers to build secure, two-way connections between their data sources and AI-powered tools.
"The architecture is straightforward: developers can either expose their data through MCP servers or build AI applications (MCP clients) that connect to these servers," Anthropic explained
