The Learning Labs app is meant to be the training app to help new developers learn the basics of GitHub. From the introduction to GitHub, communicating using Markdown, understanding GitHub Pages, moving projects to GitHub, and managing merge conflicts.
With a lot of tutorials and screencasts, GitHub's Learning Labs is interactive using bots to walk users through each concept - reviewing their works as they progress. The bots can also comment on their work, and review their pull requests just like how a project collaborator would.
The app was built by GitHub Training Team using the best practices they've gathered after years of training people on both git and GitHub.
Questions or issues that new developers may find while using the app, can be answered in the GitHub Learning Lab Community Forum. The forum also hosts other developers, as well as some members of the GitHub Training Team, to make sure developers are kept on track, the post noted.
As the it grows, GitHub wants to add new lab authors as well as more features.
Users can also track their progress and show off their new skills on a GitHub Learning Lab profile page, the post said.
