Google has revolutionized online search. But it can't do that without the help of the many businesses and websites that contribute to the increasing numbers of information on the web.
Google My Business is a free tool for businesses and organizations to manage their online presence across its properties. By verifying and editing their business information, businesses can reach local users in their neighborhood in a more formal way than just a website or social media account, interact with customers and also expand their presence.
The analytics package inside the Google My Business dashboard called insights, "focuses on how customers find your listing on Search and Maps, and what they do after they find it." And Google here has added additional reports for some businesses using what's called "Subjective attributes."
We’ve launched subjective attributes to provide more information in your insights tab! Customers of restaurants and cafes can submit subjective attributes to help you and their fellow customers. Learn more here: https://t.co/eJX4TpdtDb

The reports are the characteristics or experiences assigned to businesses by consumers. Some of which, includes: cozy, romantic, or notable cocktails and others.
"Since customers' opinions are based on their experience, the information is subjective. It is considered to be valuable to other customers, as it describes the feel & ambiance for a place. Unless proven false, we won’t remove this information," said Google.
And with the update, Google is allowing Google My Business users to see these attributes on their Insight report.
Besides the "subjective attributes" reports, Google My Business Insights section also introduced what's called “The most popular queries for your business by unique users” report.
What it does, is showing the most popular queries for businesses by unique users within a time frame.
Initially, the reports only show queries for 1 month and 1 week, but still, it surfaces details that have been harder to find on Google Search.
