Instagram is continuing its attempt to add more features into its platform. And to greet the end of 2016, the photo-sharing social media is adding stickers to video and photo Stories. The feature is again however, similar to Snapchat's.
The first thing up are the stickers. Users can now add stickers to their video and photo Stories by using a sticker button that shows up next to the drawing tool. Tapping the smiley face, users can find a list of stickers.
But here Instagram added its own twist by including specific stickers for weather, current time and location. Furthermore, Instagram's stickers are customizable - able to be moved around and resized, opposed to Snapchat that have filters but are fixed.
And because Instagram is launching the feature at the end of the year, it's also adding a bunch of holiday-related stickers like Christmas, Hannukah and more.
Users can add as many stickers as they want to any part of their Story.

Also on the list of the update, Instagram is adding a "handsfree" feature for video recording. What this means is that users don't have to hold down the video button to record things anymore. With the update, a single tap will record a video, and the second tap will end the recording - just like any regular camera app.
Users can also add more text to photos and videos. To do this, users just need to tap the text button. There is also a new slider that allows users to adjust the text size, including automatic text wrap.
Instagram is rolling out the updates inside version 10.3 for both iOS and Android. Specific to iOS users, they can now save their entire Story from the past 24 hours into one single video.
